The set of art works called Kaos is the manifestation of the chaos of creation, the epiphany of primordial strength. Starting from recycled wood, I enhance the beauty of the grain, I put together various pieces and I create shapes that reproduce female faces, carving them and printing them to create experimental woodcuts, sometimes combining them in the form of artist’s books . Even in copperplate engravings, I work by shaping zinc plates or plywood boards to create works that combine etchings, collographies, embossing and so on, in double, triple or quadruple beats and in various shades of colour. In the oval faces and in the expressive strength of the engraved sign, there is a strong reference to the graphics of Mimmo Paladino. The reality disintegrates in front of our eyes such as pieces of wood. Everyone is a spark of the feminine energy from which all creation originates.
