Hey, i’m not your doll!

This set consists of dolls realised in painting, engraving and installation. The main character is the female figure who “objectifies” herself, who becomes a doll in the hands of the man that she loves and from whom she is unrequited, becoming an icon of a wounded feminine. The choice of materials, based above all on the use of recycled cardboard, aluminum film for food and used clothing, falls within the scope of creative recycling and is therefore in line with today’s environmental sustainability needs. The chromatic range is bold both in the paintings, with the use of fluorescent colors, and in the monotypes, and there are insertions of geometric parts that accompany the figuration, which is very synthetic. Visual references are in the works of William Kentridge and Kalen Lennox, both for the Pop elements and the intent of social denunciation, all immersing the viewer in a fantastic and colorful world that makes him feel like a child again.
